to Seeing You!

Frequently
Asked
Questions

  • We believe every child has the right to quality dental care. You do not need a referral to schedule your child’s visit with us unless you are using a government dental insurance (their rules, not ours).

  • All children are welcome here! These programs require our office to have a referral from your family dentist to see your child. If your child does not have a dentist, we recommend visiting the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit to get a referral to our office. All children with Healthy Smiles are eligible for the new Canadian Dental Care Plan and we ask that all families apply.

  • You should take your child to the dentist when they get their first tooth or by their first birthday! This is the best way to get started on the right foot and prevent dental problems before they happen.

  • A pediatric dentist is a dentist who has received additional years of focused training in oral care for children to receive a specialist designation. We understand the unique needs of children and have more knowledge, tools and techniques in our toolbox to help your child!

  • Absolutely! Our team is trained and experienced to provide care to all children.

  • Parents are always welcome! We ask that you let us work our magic and remain our “silent partner” so that we can establish trust and communication with your child.

  • Keep it positive! Read a children's book about the dentist, avoid bribes, rewards or scary words and let us take care of the rest!

  • We make every effort to let you know how much you will pay for your child’s visit. Every insurance company is different, so reach out to our office so we can help you learn more about your plan. We keep it simple by taking payment at each visit and families receive their reimbursement directly.

  • Call us right away. We try our best to accommodate same-day emergency care for issues like dental trauma, swelling or severe tooth pain.
